With our public records request, the City is finally releasing information about MOVE Culver City to share with the public. Attached to this post is the long list of items we requested with the City’s responses so far. The day we received this letter (03/28/22), they also finally released the January and February reports on MOVE. So, lesson learned — it matters if you speak up and speak out and speak often.
Meanwhile, take a look at the reports. From what we can tell, bicycles make up about 3% of the volume of daily use of MOVE and automobile traffic time has SIGNIFICANTLY increased. For example, it takes over twelve (12) minutes to travel by car through the downtown corridor from La Cienega to Duquesne. And that’s both eastbound and westbound during the weekday peak of 4:30-5:30PM.
