As a homeowner or business owner, you have the right to tell the State Housing and Community Development (HCD) office that you do not plan to redevelop for upzoning. You may be on the current list that Culver City is sending to HCD to be counted in the numbers for redevelopment over the next 8 years. This list makes a difference because the City has been trying to make the case for removing single family housing throughout Culver City.
You can be on the redevelopment list, if you like, but if you would rather not, then email HCD with a short note to request they take your property address off of the Culver City housing element redevelopment list. You can also tell them you’re happy about being on the list. Up to you.
Take a look at the site inventory file attached to this post. You’ll need to download it, open it with your favorite spreadsheet program, and then click the tabs at the bottom of the screen to view the addresses.
