From the public records, we can see that Councilmember Alex Fisch and Former Advance Planning Manager Ashley Hefner Hoang have been working together with YIMBY Law for at least two years on our housing and land use — so why is YIMBY Law suing our city? (Note: YIMBY stands for Yes In My Back Yard, and they are a huge operation with deep corporate funding, all directed at increasing housing density)
According to the legal brief, they are claiming that we have illegally shrunk the building area on residential lots. So, they want us to build more homes, it seems, on our existing lots. But why a lawsuit? And why did Fisch and Hoang work with YIMBY Law to craft our housing element and guiding principles to only then be sued?
Ashley Hefner Hoang also resigned from her position in Culver City around October 2021. Why did that happen?
